This Stock Doesn't Care About the Fed Decision

Nothing is moving until 2 p.m. today. That's when the Fed announces its latest interest rate decision.

The whole market is frozen, waiting on it. In most of these meetings, everybody already knows the answer walking in.

Not this one. When the decision comes in live, that means something has to reprice no matter which way it goes.

So I'm not doing anything before that. What I am doing is picking out what I want on the other side of it, and Visa is at the top of that list.

Here's why it stands out. It reported yesterday, and the next print isn't until October 27. Visa has nothing in front of it for three months except the Fed.

The chart backs it up. It fell for eight straight months... bottomed around $295 in April... and just made new highs at $366. That's a stock that got written off and quietly came back while everybody was staring at semiconductors.

The moving averages all line up underneath it, which tells me buyers keep paying up instead of waiting around for a discount.

And it's coiled tight right now, which is usually what happens before something moves.

Tech is heavy and this thing is going the other direction.

Action to take: Let the Fed land first. Then look at it at-the-money options 30-60 days out.
