The Ones Who Drive The Business Bought The Stock

The CEO, the COO, and the CFO of Uber (UBER) all just bought their own stock.

Dara Khosrowshahi put $10 million in at $70.96 yesterday. Andrew Macdonald bought $5 million at $75.83. Balaji Krishnamurthy bought $1.5 million at $71.25 back in February.

That's $16.5 million from the three people who see the numbers before anybody else does, and Khosrowshahi says he's not finished.

Insider selling tells you nothing. People sell for a hundred reasons that have nothing to do with the business, from divorces to tax bills to a kid's tuition.

Buying tells you one thing: they like the company.

Now look at what they can see that the market hasn't priced.

Everybody spent five years saying self-driving cars would put Uber out of business. Instead, the autonomous companies are plugging into Uber's network to reach its 208 million monthly customers, because building a platform from scratch is harder than building the car.

Uber is committing $10 billion to help those partners scale.

The thing that was supposed to kill this company is now paying rent on the app.

Action to take: We're getting in below where the CEO bought, using a covered call with LEAP options.
