Two Founders Spent $4 Million Before This Stock Jumped 10%
On Holding's (ONON) founders spent $4 million on their own stock in August.
The company had just missed on sales and cut its guidance, the stock got crushed, and co-CEO Caspar Coppetti and co-founder Olivier Bernhard each bought 65,000 shares at an average of $30.67. Insiders putting their own money in right after bad news is exactly the kind of buying I pay attention to.
So, I got in last month with a LEAP call spread. A LEAP is an option that runs a year or more out, and a call spread caps what I can lose at what I paid for it.
It didn't work right away. The stock kept sliding and was trading around $27 heading into this week, below where the founders bought.
However, that’s the beauty of the trade. You have enough time for it to work. And now it’s moving our way.
Yesterday it jumped 10%. At its first investor day in 3 years, On authorized up to $1 billion in buybacks through 2029 and set a target of at least 5.6 billion Swiss francs in sales by 2029, about $7 billion, with adjusted EBITDA margins of at least 22%. It also reaffirmed this year's outlook.
That's the kind of conviction I look for in The War Room, and it's exactly why I'm watching gold so closely right now. Join me Thursday, September 24, where I'll show you how to buy the world's top gold assets at half price.
